Easter Cupcake Hacks!

Hey, sometimes you just don’t have the time to make a complicated extra-cute Easter dessert that takes 42 ingredients and 5 hours to bake! Or maybe you’re just not a baker but you’d rather not take cupcakes in the store package to your Easter lunch. But maybe you do like festive treats and want to make something special for your friends and guests. I’m here to help!

There’s a REALLY long list of reasons cooking and baking are not my favorite. And they really have nothing to do with the actual cooking and baking, which I actually enjoy! But I’ll save that novel for another time. Just know that sometimes you need a dessert hack and, in my opinion, there’s no shame in that! We’re all just trying to prioritize and live life to its fullest!

So. Go to the store and purchase plain cupcakes from the bakery. Yes, already made, already frosted. And if you want to make sure they’re extra fresh, call and order them ahead of time. (I’m not saying you can’t make cupcakes, but this post is about if you’ve run out of time or simply have too many other things to do!)

If you really want to go the extra mile, buy some fun cupcake wrappers like this or this. Add them to the store wrappers!

And now your options are endless. Go ahead and do that Pinterest search but, again, if you’re like me, Pinterest is a never-ending rabbit hole (no Easter pun intended). So here are a few of my favorite easy hacks! And by the way, you can adjust this for almost ANY holiday! Just change the colors and candy.

And, yes, if you invite me to your Easter lunch, or any other holiday for that matter, it’s possible it’ll be store-bought with an extra festive touch, but it doesn’t mean I like or love you any less!

Sprinkles are your friend:
Buy some festive sprinkles, even some special Easter confetti sprinkles. Add them to your vanilla or chocolate cupcakes and you’re done! Easy. But cute.

The candy aisle is your friend too:
Add some Easter candy to the sprinkles like they did over at My Name is Snickerdoodle. Y’all have seen the Easter candy aisle, right? There are trillions (maybe?) of options here!

Spring Flowers:
Buy some jelly beans or M&M’s and design flowers on the top like they did over at The Cake Blog

PEEPS:
If you’re up for something a little more detailed, these Peeps are so cute. Buy some licorice, green sprinkles, and Peeps and Voila!

Birds Nest:
Buy some chocolate sprinkles and add Robin Eggs. Or buy some coconut to sprinkle on the top. And if you want, you can dye the coconut by mixing it with some food coloring.

Which one is your favorite?
Do you have a cupcake hack you use that I should add to my list?
