He is RISEN!
He is RISEN indeed!
The angel said, “Don’t be so surprised. Aren’t you looking for Jesus, the Nazarene who was crucified? He isn’t here! He has risen! He has come back to life! Look, that’s where his body was lying. He’s not there!”

Yesterday’s silence has ended with today’s REJOICING!
The debt has been paid. Salvation is fulfilled. The tomb stands empty.
Christ is Risen!
Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!

I took the photo above on Easter Sunday a decade ago. Bright and cheerful daisies lined our dinner table at my brother and sister-in-law’s home. Earlier that morning, we sat on blankets at the beach watching the sun rise and holding our own personal Easter sunrise service. It’s a favorite memory with my sweet family. Easter often looks different year to year, but that doesn’t change the message . . . HE IS RISEN!!!
