Go-to Birthday Gifts!
Wrap It Up posts are always hard for me because I don’t want to give away any of my gift ideas that some of you might receive in the next year! It would be no fun if your gift wasn’t a surprise! So I just have to be very careful about what I post, and be a little behind.
Gifts are very important to me. And I probably REALLY do like giving them more than receiving them. And I’m not just saying that. I really enjoy looking for a perfect gift for someone. I enjoy brightening their day and CELEBRATING them! I think most people enjoy that part as well.
In many cases and for lots of reasons, I often need to ship most of my gifts online. That’s very easy to do, but it’s actually very hard for me mentally/emotionally. I like touching, feeling and seeing the item before I buy it and then I like packaging it in a way that is fun and celebratory.
I’m also big on “themed” gifts (no surprise there!). So I like to get a few smaller items and package them together in a fun way. But when you order online, that’s much more difficult and often impossible! If I am able to create my own gift basket, the shipping rates are often more than the gift! So for now, these direct ship items work well. Or until I win the lottery and have extra money for shipping, I’ll just have to be a bit more creative. (Side note: throughout life, budget constraints don’t always allow me to buy gifts, and what I do then will have to be another post.)
