How Do You Feel About Tote Bags?
I’ve mentioned before, I’m a bag lady. And I really am! But since downsizing my life a few years ago, I don’t really own as many as people think I do, and I don’t buy them often. But I sure love looking at them!
Here’s the latest reviews on the BEST Tote Bags.
However, I have a love/hate relationship with tote bags.
The love part is that I love bags! š (Inherited from my mother)
A tote bag is defined as “a large and often unfastened bag with parallel handles that emerge from the sides of its pouch. The archetypal tote bag is made of sturdy cloth, perhaps with thick leather at its handles or bottom.”
Thus tote bags don’t often have zippers to close the bag, and I’m a firm believer in that. (I don’t want anyone sneaking stuff out of my bag because they can see what’s inside!)
And tote bags also don’t often have a strap length that works for me. And even if they did, I don’t carry bags on my shoulder because it gives me a headache. I prefer crossbody bags and, of course, those bags have to be somewhat smaller than a tote bag.
Out of this group, I think my favorite is the Ripstop Backpack. It’s probably the least like a tote bag.š It zips at the top, it’s packable, it’s got several straps so you can carry it different ways, and a southern girl always loves a monogram! šš»āāļø
What’s your favorite?
I hate them. It is like throwing all your stuff in a big bucket.
