National Gingerbread House Day
Today is National Gingerbread House Day, and I hope you’ve already made one or plan to make one during the holidays!
I was recently at Disney World and visited Disney’s Yacht Club Resort where the chef’s there made an entire carousel out of gingerbread with a Peter Pan theme. It was the perfect start of the Christmas season for me. They had 5 carousels decorated for a Peter Pan character: Peter Pan, Wendy, Smee, Tinkerbell, and Captain Hook. ALL made out of gingerbread! And, boy, it smelled good too! And the photo above shows how much of each ingredient they used like 100 pounds of honey and 300 pounds of bread flour!! WOW!
